Job Description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading container haulage company based in Felixstowe for an experienced Container Traffic Operator. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a highly regarded business who can offer a competitive salary and career prospects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Routing vehicles.
  • Responsible for an allocation of tramper and day drivers.
  • Planning deliveries in a timely manner.
  • Build strong relationships with drivers and customers.
  • Ensure drivers are always planned within their legal working hours.

 

Previous Skills & Experience:

  • 3 years previous experience in planning and routing HGV’s.
  • Knowledge of drivers hours regulations.
  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Comfortable working under pressure.
  • Transport Manager CPC holder, ideal but not essential.
  • Commercially aware.
