Job Description
Time Appointments are currently recruiting on behalf of a thriving business based in Ipswich who are looking to appoint an experienced Finance Officer. Â This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly professional individual with a strong work ethic, to work for a rapidly expanding local business.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Overseeing accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers and vendors.
- Maintaining and reconciling financial records using accounting software Sage 50
- Checking monthly HMRC postponed VAT statements
- Processing sales and purchase ledger invoices and credit notes
- Completing payroll processes, and processing timesheets
- Issuing contracts and processing leavers
- Managing the company pension scheme
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly profit and loss accounts
- Assisting the external accountants with any queries relating to the preparation of the annual accounts and posting any adjustments
- Adhering to financial regulations and internal policies
- Conducting data entry tasks with precision
- Providing general admin support as and when required

Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in a finance focussed role
- Confidence in accounts payable processes and best practices
- Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Sage 50 and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- A proactive approach with the ability to solve problems independently
