Job Description

We are delighted to be working on behalf of a reputable container transport company in Felixstowe who are currently going through a period of growth and are looking for a dedicated and proactive Traffic Operator to join their team!

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prioritising delivery requirements
  • Analysing and routing vehicles in the most efficient way
  • Liaising with the warehouse team regarding weight, space and capacity
  • Monitoring vehicle progress and rerouting according to updates
  • Communicating routing decisions to drivers
  • Liaising effectively with clients and customers

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in the routing of containers
  • Transport experience is a necessity
  • The ability to be meticulous and consistent with close attention to detail
  • Computer literate with previous knowledge of Destin8 and the port VBS system
  • The ability to work under pressure is essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible and adaptable with an excellent attitude to Customer Service
